Nine roles, three time commitments, one Saturday a month.

Pick the role that fits your week. We train every volunteer on their first shift. We pair you with a current volunteer for the first three shifts. After that, you’re running it.

Nine volunteer roles, all currently open.

Five questions every new volunteer asks.

What if I sign up and discover the role isn't a fit?

Tell the working group lead. Roles rotate every 90 days. Nobody has to do something they don't enjoy — there are nine roles for a reason. We will help you find a better fit.

Do I need experience?

No. We train every volunteer on their first shift. We pair you with a current volunteer for the first three shifts. After that, you're trained.

What if my schedule is unpredictable?

The canvasser, greeter, and press desk roles are flexible — pick the shifts that work for you. The coordinator and quarterly roles need more reliable scheduling. Pick what fits.

Can I volunteer if I'm not a US citizen?

Yes. Most roles are open to anyone living in Pinellas. Petition canvassing has some legal restrictions on who can collect signatures — we will explain when you sign up.

Is volunteering required for membership?

No. Membership is free and requires nothing. Volunteering is an additional commitment for those who want to dig in. About 13% of members volunteer in any given quarter.

Not sure which role? Come to a meeting first.

The first-Tuesday meeting is the best place to meet working-group leads in person and ask what each role really looks like.
