Carlos Hidalgo-Rivera worked 12 years as an ICU nurse at Jackson Memorial before he started organizing healthcare workers across Miami-Dade. He's seen what happens when a state government refuses to expand Medicaid, when a hospital cuts staffing to keep margins, when a worker can't afford the very healthcare they provide. He's running because his district deserves a state rep who has actually been at the bedside.
